Recipe Details:This diabetic-friendly burger is very different from a traditional burger – there is no cutlet in it at all. But it turns out super juicy and full of flavor!
- Lean ground beef – 1 lb.
- Carrot (finely chopped) – one half
- Celery stalk – one half
- Onion (chopped) – 1
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Olive oil – 1 tbsp.
- Worcestershire sauce – 1 tsp.
- Tomato sauce – 2 cups
- Wine vinegar – 1 tbsp.
- Ground cloves – 1 pinch
- Sweetener – equivalent of 1.5 tbsp.
- Salt and ground black pepper – to taste
- Whole wheat buns – 2
Recipe Directions:Step 1
Heat olive oil in a frying pan and fry the chopped carrots for 5 minute.
Add the chopped onion, garlic, and celery to the frying pan. Fry everything for another 5 minutes. After that, set the vegetables aside to a separate bowl.
Return the frying pan to heat, add ground beef and mash it with a spatula, then fry the minced meat until tender. Add a little salt and pepper while cooking.
Add the previously fried vegetables to the minced meat, add tomato sauce, sweetener, ground cloves, wine vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
Reduce heat to low and keep cooking for 10 more minutes, add salt or pepper while cooking.
Cut each bun in half and toast, then place the cooked meat on the bottom part of the bun. Cover with the top part of the bun. Serve and enjoy!
