Dr. Joyce is a Covid mask fanatic. Due to a previous surgery, it is very difficult for me to wear a mask. She does not care, and in fact, is double masked herself. Considering all of the peer reviewed studies that have proven that masking is ineffective for respiratory viruses, I dont understand why she insists I wear one. I also asked her to remove hers I had Covid and have natural immunity, because my previous surgery left me deaf in one ear with 247 tinnitus. My hearing is bad enough in my hearing ear that I wear a hearing aid. It is impossible to understand her muffled speech with her double masks on. Perhaps if she is so paranoid about Covid, she should change professions. She was also not pleased that I refused the Covid vaccine. Believe me, I have done my homework on that, and I refuse to even entertain the thought of getting that vaccine or the flu vaccine for that matter. If I still have to mask up for my upcoming yearly exam in 7 weeks, I will be looking for another, more empathetic doctor.
