Recipe Details:This is a very light and beloved by many dessert. In this diabetic-friendly recipe, we are going to use a natural sugar alternative, such as Stevia.
- Egg whites from 3 eggs
- Lemon juice – 3 tbsp.
- Vanilla extract – 1 tsp.
- Stevia extract – ½ tsp.
- Cinnamon – to taste
Recipe Directions:Step 1
Separate the egg whites from the yolk.
Beat the egg whites with lemon juice. After that, gradually add the vanilla and stevia extracts, while continuing to beat the egg whites until you get a thick, dense foam.
Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil. Use a pastry bag, place the meringue mix on the baking sheet. Sprinkle the meringues with cinnamon to taste.
Preheat the oven to 390 F. Bake the meringues until you can easily pull them up from the baking sheet (about 1 hour).
Take the meringues off the baking sheet and let them cool. Serve and enjoy!
